With our latest update we have given users of CMS an easy way to show and record the downtime of an asset. This will support users to analyze how long equipment is out of service, when to repair or replace major equipment and to know what equipment is currently down to maximize information that could affect business activity.
Using to the Asset Downtime feature
In the Work Orders page, if a Work Order has an asset linked, then the new Asset Downtime portal will be available below the current Assets portal.
The Start and End Date columns will be populated based on the date/time selected by the under entering the downtime. The Total Downtime column will reflect the Total time the asset was down for. The Active column in the Asset Downtime portal is a Yes/No column. If the Asset is actively down, the user will see a “Yes” entry in the Active column.
The green bubble shows the count of the total number of Assets with past or current downtime on the Work Order and the red bubble
shows the count of the current number of assets with downtime on the Work Order.
In the Assets page, the Asset Downtime portal will be available under the Work Order History Portal. Asset Downtime can’t be added from this portal (as the downtime needs to be associated with a Work Order).
Setting up permissions
In the Admin console under User Management -> Assets, there is a new row added to control permissions for the Asset Downtime feature.
Reporting
There will be a report Asset Downtime (# 3075) that displays assets with downtime history, along with the work order number and asset category.
The report will be filtered on a Date Range and show the Asset number , WO number, Start Downtime, Stop Downtime and Total Downtime per Asset in that Date Range (Hours:Minutes).
