Efficiently managing risk scores across multiple assets is crucial for maintenance and facility managers using FSI's CMS software. Instead of assigning risk individually to each asset, this guide explains how to apply risk scores to multiple assets simultaneously to save time and ensure consistency across your asset portfolio.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have the necessary administrative permissions to access and modify asset configurations within the CMS Admin Console.
Step-by-step Instructions
- Log in to your CMS account and navigate to the Admin Console.
- Go to Assets > Configuration to open the Asset Management section.
- Open the Asset Category you want to edit to view its asset list.
- On the right side, locate the Risk Strategy section.
- Set the desired Risk Strategy value to assign the appropriate risk score.
- Select ALL assets within the category to mass apply the risk score to existing active Assets currently in CMS, ensuring all selected assets receive the correct score.
As new Assets are added to the system with the same Category will auto assign the Risk Scoring.
Tips and Best Practices
- Verify that all assets within the category truly share the same risk profile before applying bulk changes to avoid inaccuracies.
Regularly review and update risk strategies to reflect changing conditions or asset statuses.
