Asset CONFIGURATION ~ Field Configuration

Standard Asset fields available to use on Asset records.  . 

*Note: Once an Asset System  has been created or edited, you must log out and back into CMS to see the changes.

  Each field Name has the following options for that field:

• Label Text: How you want the field name to read.  
• Default Value:  the information that you want displayed on all Asset records for that field. 
• Field Type: is the type of field; TextBox, Hierarchy, Combo, Date, Calculated, CheckBox or DateTime. 
• Visible: is the field being displayed on an Asset
• Required: checking this box makes the field mandatory to be filled on an Asset. Fields will be highlighted in red and the Asset cannot be saved until all fields have been completed. 
• Levels: If there are hierarchy set up for the field name required levels of the hierarchy can be set that the user will need to set on an Asset. For example: HVAC is the top hierarchy and under that you will have Air Handler Unit and Air Conditioner as lower levels.   

The is in the bottom right corner of the page.  Once settings and/or changes have been made and saved, log out and log in is required to see the changes within CMS.
